As a psychotherapist for more than 25 years, I have helped hundreds of clients reach their goals – while learning and being inspired along the way. Together, we look at questions like: What helps us be happy? What helps us appreciate ourselves and our lives? What gives us the courage and strength to make needed changes? How can we keep our relationship(s) healthy? How do we find and then live our life’s purpose?  How do we get from where we are to where we want to be?

My clients are healthy people who want to get healthier. They range in age from 2 years old into their 90s. I am passionate about helping individuals reach a deeper layer of themselves. I also work with couples and parenting teams to communicate more effectively, work more smoothly as a team, and understand and appreciate each other’s strengths and gifts.

If you are comforted by dogs or cats, I include the grounding, unconditional love of animals who have their Good Citizen certifications. In addition, I am able to use a technique called Voice Dialogue, which helps you understand and work with different aspects of your psyche that may appear at first to be at odds.

We will work together on a weekly basis. Individuals come for a 50-minute session, while couples often come for an 85-minute session. The work unfolds and deepens with time spent together. I frequently provide “homework” to help deepen your learning. Although not mandatory, it can help you progress at a quicker rate.  I am a preferred provider on some insurance plans such as First Choice Health, Regence, Premera and Aetna, which means instead of my private pay rate, you are only responsible for covering your deductible/co-insurance/co-pay.

Philosophy

Human interaction has been a long-time passion of mine. In my study of the human psyche (our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions) I have come to understand that we have 4 main layers or bodies: the physical, the emotional, the mental, and the etheric or spiritual. Just like a car’s four tires, if any of our bodies are “low on air”, the ride through life will not be as smooth as it could be. If we work with our issues by focusing on the mental and emotional levels, then we can save ourselves from experiencing a lot of future pain or dis-ease.
